Legal summaries, including "At a glance" and the "In short:" lines, are not part of these Terms or of what you agree to. The full wording governs.
Who we are and what these Terms cover
In short: Balushi Digital LLC runs Lizards. You agree to these Terms only by expressly confirming them, not by reading them.
Balushi Digital LLC, a Delaware company in the United States, operates Lizards. Our monitored contact is info@trylizards.com. Our mailing address is 8 The Green, STE B, Dover, DE 19901, United States. This is a mailing address, not a representation of an operating office.
These Terms cover the Lizards website, the Waitlist, and the free, invitation-only mobile Beta. Once an effective version and acceptance flow are available, you must expressly agree to the applicable Terms and eligibility statement at the required entry point. The applicable confirmation flow requires that explicit agreement. None of these records it:
- reading these Terms or any other page
- having an existing device profile
- allowing optional tracking
The Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information. It doesn't make optional tracking mandatory. The separate Contribution Terms apply only to people who supply identified Source material and accept that authorization.
Eligibility and invitations
In short: You must be 18 or older and give accurate details. The Beta is free and by invitation, and nothing guarantees you access.
To use Lizards:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- The Waitlist is open to adults throughout the United States.
- You must provide accurate information that you're entitled to supply, and correct important errors.
The Beta uses the name and email you report yourself. It doesn't provide a verified cloud account or identity authentication.
The Beta is free, invitation-only, and limited in availability. An optional Beta request tells us you're interested; it isn't an invitation or enrollment. We may select invitation batches and adjust capacity. Joining the Waitlist or accepting these Terms doesn't guarantee any of the following:
- Beta access
- available Courses
- an invitation date
- a release date
Access-related emails may follow. You can ask info@trylizards.com to stop Waitlist or invitation communications. Necessary replies to your requests, and legal or service notices, are separate.
Independent study aid
In short: Lizards is an independent study aid. It isn't endorsed by your university, and it doesn't replace your Course or instructor.
Lizards helps you study university Courses using short Lesson Videos, Practice, and a progress Map. It is an independent, supplementary study aid. We don't claim any of the following:
- university or professor sponsorship or endorsement
- accreditation or academic credit
- guaranteed grades or exam success
Follow your official Course materials and your instructor's requirements, and check important answers against reliable sources. Lizards is not a substitute for instruction, professional advice, or your own academic judgment.
Your permission to use Lizards
In short: You may use Lizards and its Course content for your own lawful study. You don't get ownership, and other people's rights stay with them.
To the extent of the rights we control, we grant you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable permission to access the free service and its Course content for lawful study while your access is authorized.
This permission doesn't transfer ownership, and it doesn't grant rights in all underlying facts, third-party sources, AI outputs, or voices. Third-party rights remain with their holders, and applicable legal exceptions remain available.
Responsible use
In short: Don't attack the service, misuse other people's identities or rights, or use Lizards to cheat.
Don't:
- interfere with the service's security
- misuse another person's identity
- automate abusive requests
- distribute malicious material
- use your access to infringe rights or break the law
- copy, redistribute, sell, or exploit protected Course content beyond the permission we can grant or the rights you have under law
- misrepresent Lizards as an official institutional service
- use Practice or Lesson Videos to cheat, submit unauthorized assessment answers, or breach exam or Course restrictions
Follow the academic-integrity rules that apply to you.
Feedback
In short: You can send us feedback. We may use it to improve Lizards without paying you, and you keep your rights in it.
You can send feedback and error reports to info@trylizards.com. You permit us to use feedback to improve the service, without an obligation to pay you. You keep the rights you hold in it. Don't include confidential information or material you can't authorize us to use.
Feedback is not a blanket license to unrelated Source material. Identified editorial contributions use the separate Contribution Terms.
AI-assisted content
In short: AI tools help us prepare lessons, and any lesson can contain errors. Not every lesson has had a human accuracy review, so please report problems.
Editorial AI tools help prepare Course content from Source material, and generated narration may use voice-generation tools. This is not a Learner-facing AI chat feature.
AI-assisted content and human-prepared content can both contain errors, omissions, or misleading explanations. We don't represent that every existing Lesson Video or Practice answer has completed a human accuracy review.
To report a problem so we can investigate, email info@trylizards.com with:
- the Course
- the Level
- the question or video
- the issue
Beta availability and warranties
In short: The free Beta is prerelease software that can change or stop, and it comes without implied warranties. You keep any rights the law doesn't allow us to exclude.
The free Beta is prerelease software. Courses, features, compatibility, and access may change, be interrupted, or end. We don't promise any of the following:
- uninterrupted access
- error-free content
- permanent storage of local progress
- offline Course startup or playback
Keep information you need separately.
To the extent permitted by law, the free service is supplied as available, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer guarantees or other rights that can't lawfully be excluded.
Third-party services
In short: Other companies help run Lizards, and their terms may apply when you deal with them directly. We stay responsible for our own legal duties.
Third-party services may be needed for hosting, delivery, communications, optional tracking, or editorial preparation. Their relevant terms and practices may also apply to your direct dealings with them.
We remain responsible for the obligations the law places on us. Referencing a provider doesn't transfer all responsibility to you or guarantee that provider's practices.
Content complaints
In short: Tell us at info@trylizards.com if Course content infringes your rights or raises another concern. We may investigate and correct, restrict, or remove material.
Send copyright or other content complaints to info@trylizards.com. Identify:
- the work or right at issue
- the specific Course, Level, question, video, or URL
- the basis of your concern
- how to contact you
Include supporting information you can lawfully share, and avoid unnecessary sensitive data. We may seek clarification and investigate, correct, restrict, or remove material as appropriate.
This complaint contact is not a claim that we have a registered DMCA agent or qualify for a statutory safe harbor. Merely retiring a Level may not remove stored media or cached copies; appropriate removal requires action on the relevant delivery paths.
Restricting or ending access
In short: We may limit or end access for material breaches, unlawful or harmful use, security needs, or the end of the Beta. Where practicable, we'll explain why and give you a chance to fix the problem.
We may proportionately restrict or end access for any of these reasons:
- material breaches
- unlawful or harmful use
- security needs
- ending the Beta
Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow a reasonable opportunity to address it. Urgent safety, security, or legal needs may require immediate action. Contact info@trylizards.com with questions or to ask us to reconsider.
Termination doesn't erase justified agreement records, or rights and duties that by their nature continue. These include the qualified license for already-created lessons under the Contribution Terms, and valid accrued claims.
Free-service liability limits
In short: For the free services, our total liability to you is limited to $100, and some kinds of damages are excluded. These limits don't apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, recklessness, or anything the law doesn't allow to be limited.
To the extent permitted by law, Balushi Digital LLC's total aggregate liability to each person for all claims arising from the free services is limited to $100. To the same extent, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits or loss of data, arising from the free services.
The $100 cap and the excluded-damages provision have the same exceptions. Neither applies to:
- fraud
- willful misconduct
- gross negligence
- recklessness
- any liability, remedy, consumer protection, or other right that can't lawfully be limited or excluded
Both provisions apply only as far as applicable law allows, and they don't restrict mandatory remedies. They are a selected contractual risk allocation, not a statutory safe harbor or an enforceability guarantee. They don't bind nonparty copyright holders, regulators, or vendors, or excuse the company from their claims or its own legal duties.
Governing law and disputes
In short: Delaware law applies, but mandatory protections where you live still apply. You can go to court, including small claims, and there's no forced arbitration.
Delaware law governs these Terms, except that mandatory consumer protections and other nonwaivable rights that apply where you live remain available. Disputes may be brought in ordinary courts with jurisdiction, including eligible small-claims courts. These Terms contain none of the following:
- mandatory arbitration
- a class-action waiver
- a contractual jury waiver
- an exclusive out-of-state forum
We encourage you to contact info@trylizards.com to try to resolve a concern. Contacting us is not a prerequisite to urgent relief, contacting regulators, bringing a case, or preserving a filing deadline. Nothing here extends or shortens applicable statutory deadlines.
Changes to these Terms
In short: We date every revision and keep the exact earlier wording. Material changes get appropriate notice, and your agreement where needed.
We will label deliberate revisions with updated and effective dates and preserve the exact earlier text. You can read the applicable archived revision and the current website version.
Material changes to these Terms will receive appropriate notice and agreement where needed. A date change or a restored profile doesn't rewrite an earlier receipt. We may use appropriate notices in the service or sent to the email you supplied, so keep your supplied contact details accurate. No change to these Terms automatically changes your optional tracking permission.
Remaining terms
In short: If one part can't apply, the rest still does. These Terms and the Contribution Terms each govern their own subject.
If a provision can't lawfully apply, the remainder applies to the extent it can operate lawfully, without removing mandatory protections. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver of later enforcement.
These Terms and the source-specific Contribution Terms govern their stated subject matter. Any separately agreed permissions remain subject to their scope.
